Private Vehicle and Guide - Kruger Afternoon Safari
- About 7 hours
- Easy cancellation
A Private Afternoon Safari to Kruger National Park starts around 12h30. This gives you a very good opportunity to view general animals like Impala, Zebra, Kudu, Elephant, and Buffalo to name a few. Late afternoon is the better time to find predators like Lion and Leopard, as mid-day hours these predators will most likely be asleep, but as the day cools down they will become active again. Various parts of the park might be visited, depending on the sightings.
Your Private professional & experienced safari guide and driver will share valuable information about the wildlife, animal behavior in their natural environment, vegetation, area and history about Kruger National Park.
Various viewpoints and rest camps might be visited during your game drive, depending on the wild and unpredictable animal sightings: A late lunch/Snack stop might be at Skukuza Restcamp with Shops and Restaurant.
Your pick up time for your afternoon safari will be in between 12h30 to 13:00.
Upon arrival at the entrance gate, your guide will go to the reception area to do the entry permit. Depending on how busy the gate is, this can take anything between 5 and 15 minutes. Once this is done, your game drive will start.
The Mid Day hours will be used to view the general game like Impala, Zebra, Giraffe, Elephant, and Kudu. Later in the afternoon as the day cools down, the chances of finding predators like Lion and Leopard are better as they will become active again.
A late Lunch/Snack stop will be made before your game drive continues as you make your way back to the gate, in search of other game, as well as predators.
Your drive will end when the park gates close, this is 17h30 in the winter time and 18h00 in the summertime.
Drop off will be at the same location you were picked up unless otherwise arranged.

We (a group of 6 adults) just completed our private safari with Bernhard and Arno. Both of these guys were superb. They were efficient in their communication beforehand, their pick-up times were timely, they were always willing to answer any questions we had, and freely shared their wealth of knowledge about Kruger and the many species of life within, great stories about their past experiences, as well as their camera/photography skills.
It was an amazing 2 days at Kruger. Although 2 days is not enough to enjoy all this place has to offer, if you are short on time and want a great private guide experience, I would highly recommend getting in touch with Bernhard and Arno.

Me and my girlfriend stayed for 4 days with Private Kruger Safaris. All the safaris we've done were with Quintin and what a great guide he is! Very friendly and polite, knows about everything we asked him, and believe me, my girlfriend makes a lot of questions. We've spotted pretty much all the animals we wanted to, thanks to his expertise, and even though I am no photographer, I had a lot of great opportunity to take awesome pictures and really enjoyed our time in Kruger. A must do! Ask for Quintin!
My wife & I spent some time with Bernhard a couple of years ago. We found him knowledgeable, courteous & professional. We were in a mixed group & he went above & beyond to get us into great spots for photography. He knew where the animals would be & whilst we weren't successful on every section of every, trip we eventually saw all we had set out to see. All of us were interested in the big cats & we saw 11 leopards in 10 days! Excellent! We have booked again to see the bush with Private Kruger Safaris & we are looking forward to our trip in September.
