Description

For the African Safari adventurer, the imagination runs wild with classic scenes of a copper sun sinking low, painting the sky with all its glory and kissing the ancient land good night. To Safari over sunset is to watch an alternative world come to life and share in its secret splendour.

As the copper Sun and its warm orange rays fade to starlight, our sunset Safari head out onto the African plain in the late afternoon. The time of day when the adventurers and traders of old Africa would outspan and plan their camp for the evening. From the morning chorus it prepares for the soft eerie whisper of the African night. A time of day to go in search of thirsty elephants and lazy leopards. When lions slowly begin to rout and open their eyes and frogs, crickets and nightjars save their breath for the evening symphony.

Sunset Safari is a time between two worlds, the golden hour of portraits and still life’s. The comedy and drama of its day begin to make way for the thrill of its night. On your Sunset Safari our guides will read off the morning storyboard and re-embellish the days events, anticipating the games next steps. It’s a time of day to visually and imaginatively inspire story and tale from the bush and its wildlife.

Our afternoon Sunset Safari gathers from 12h30pm to depart by 13h00pm. Guests will either self-drive to the designated Kruger Park Gate or be collected from their accommodation on Open Safari Vehicle as long as its within 20km of one of the main Kruger Park Gates. To ensure that our guests get the most out of their Safari we recommend accessing from either Paul Kruger, Phabeni or Numbi gate or Malelane Gate. We can operate from Orpen Gate or Crocodile Bridge on request.

Prior to entrance into the Park guests are required to complete the SANParks and Safaria Indemnity forms and must have copies of ID or Passport on hand to present to gate officials. Your guide will handle your entrance process to ensure a quick and easy access.

We will enter the gates around 13h30 and your professional guide will introduce you to the splendour of the Kruger National Park and read the tracks and signs to pick up on the day's bush activity.

Being a 5 hour drive we will focus on the Southern section of the park and spend time in and around the Skukuza and Pretoriuskop areas. We will stop at one of these camps for a refresher/comfort break and finally make our way back to the designated collection gate for 17h30 to 18h00 dependent on time of year. Should guests not have included their KNP CONSERVATION FEES, these are to be paid in cash on arrival at the entry gate

Andrew was an awesome host, very knowledgable about all things wild from Termites to Leopards. He took our cue that we wanted to know more about the park other than just the animals. He parted with knowledge that was amazing to see and backed it up with sights and sounds that were just as remarkable.
Having a break midway through the safari was awesome, giving us all a chance to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and to stretch our legs.
I would greatly recommend Andrew and his company if you are looking for a trip into the Kruger. One of the best policy that I enjoyed that his company has is that they do a one group per vehicle trip. This gives him the ability to focus on the group rather than on having to focus on pleasing everyone who may have different interests.
I would give Andrew a 6 our of 5 rating if that were possible.
Thank you for a great experience, Andrew.

Great Service Great Safari

Wow, what a great experience with Safaria. Every detail from booking to entrance was perfectly handled. On arrival at the gate we were met by our Guide and literally jumped aboard the smartest safari vehicle around and made our way into the Park. A great treat was the amazing Coffee we had whilst taking in all the early morning sounds and great views of the Kruger Park. We couldn't have asked for more, a truly wonderful experience that everyone visiting the Kruger Park must book. Safaria offers a 5 Star Day Safari in the Kruger Park.
