  • About 8 hours
  • Hazyview
  • Easy cancellation

A Morning Safari to Kruger National Park starts early, before Sunrise. This gives you a very good opportunity to view animals like the Big 5 (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino and Cape Buffalo).

Early mornings are the best times to find predators like Lion and Leopard, as mid-day hours these predators will most likely be asleep. Various birds and other animals like Hippo, Crocodile, Giraffe, and Zebra can be seen as you travel throughout the day. Various parts of the park might be visited, depending on the sightings.

Your professional & experienced safari guide and driver will share valuable information about the wildlife, animal behavior in their natural environment, vegetation, area and history about Kruger National Park.

Various viewpoints and rest camps might be visited during your game drive, depending on the wild and unpredictable animal sightings: Breakfast might be at Skukuza Restcamp with Shops and Restaurant.

Your Pick Up Time for your Morning Safari will be:

05h00 (October to March) 05h30 (April to September) If you are staying in Hazyview and surrounding accommodation establishments.

Protea Hotel Kruger Gate: Pick up time 15min before gate opening.

Skukuza, Pretoruiskop or Berg en Dal pick up times are 30 minutes after park entrance gate opens

Upon arrival at the entrance gate, your guide will go to the reception area to do the entrance permit. Depending on how busy the gate is, this can take anything between 5 and 15 minutes. Once this is done, you game drive will start.

Early hours of the morning the focus will mainly be on searching for predators like Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dogs and Hyenas. They are active mostly during the night and early mornings. The later the day, the warmer it gets and these predators will become less active.

A Comfort/Bathroom stop will be made before breakfast.

Breakfast (approximately 8h30/9h00 depending on animal sightings) Your breakfast stop will be between the above mentioned times. This will be at one of the many rest camps in the southern part of Kruger National Park. All meals are for your own account.

After breakfast your game drive continues in search of more animals that might have eluded you during the first part of the morning. This will also be the time where more time will be spent on viewing general game as well as other interesting things to see on your way back to the exit gate.

Another comfort stop might be made, depending on where in the park you are, and what time allows for.

Drop off time will be between 12h00 and 12h30 at the same place you were picked up, unless otherwise arranged.

We (a group of 6 adults) just completed our private safari with Bernhard and Arno. Both of these guys were superb. They were efficient in their communication beforehand, their pick-up times were timely, they were always willing to answer any questions we had, and freely shared their wealth of knowledge about Kruger and the many species of life within, great stories about their past experiences, as well as their camera/photography skills.

It was an amazing 2 days at Kruger. Although 2 days is not enough to enjoy all this place has to offer, if you are short on time and want a great private guide experience, I would highly recommend getting in touch with Bernhard and Arno.

Me and my girlfriend stayed for 4 days with Private Kruger Safaris. All the safaris we've done were with Quintin and what a great guide he is! Very friendly and polite, knows about everything we asked him, and believe me, my girlfriend makes a lot of questions. We've spotted pretty much all the animals we wanted to, thanks to his expertise, and even though I am no photographer, I had a lot of great opportunity to take awesome pictures and really enjoyed our time in Kruger. A must do! Ask for Quintin!

My wife & I spent some time with Bernhard a couple of years ago. We found him knowledgeable, courteous & professional. We were in a mixed group & he went above & beyond to get us into great spots for photography. He knew where the animals would be & whilst we weren't successful on every section of every, trip we eventually saw all we had set out to see. All of us were interested in the big cats & we saw 11 leopards in 10 days! Excellent! We have booked again to see the bush with Private Kruger Safaris & we are looking forward to our trip in September.
