Full Day iSimangaliso Safari Tour
- About 7 hours
This full day iSimangaliso Safari tour highlights the Eastern Shores of this magnificent park, South Africa's very first world heritage site. One can expect game viewing (Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo, Antelope, Hippo) and much more. Your ranger for the day will pick you up at your accommodation within the St Lucia area, after a brief introduction to the area you travel into the park.
En-route you will have an opportunity to witness first hand just why this area is so spectacular. It's not just the wildlife but the scenery and incredible ecosystems that one may enjoy while on tour. The safari includes numerous loop roads, outcrops, wildlife and gives you a chance to enjoy Cape Vidal snorkeling or bathing.
All the while your ranger will prepare for a good picnic lunch.

Myself and partner booked a safari package through heritage tours in December 2019. From the first contact the the last thank you and goodbye was faultless.... from the office staff to the tour guides was 100% professional and friendly. The tour guides were very knowledgeable about everything and welcomed any questions to which they were pleased to answer. Value for money was exceptional and sites were amazing they are a credit to st Lucia and 100% recommended.
We thank you for a very memorable visit and experience.

Thanks to Heritage gives us such a lovely tour and safaris in the midnight on the high way!
My partner and I joined the "Heritage Tours & Safaris Cape Vidal tour" on 7 Jan 2020. We were promptly greeted and picked up and continued on through Cape Vidal for the tour. We saw a few animals that you won't as easily spot in places like Pilanesberg, so were happy with the sightings. After arriving at the Cape Vidal beach, there was some miscommunication between the tour offerings, however I am please to say that after raising the concern with Heritage Tours & Safari's, our complaint was taken very seriously, handled extremely professionally and management resolved more than what we asked from them. I can honestly say their professionalism with our complaint has been some of the best service received and based on this experience will happily endorse making use of their services.
I do however caution any future patrons to make sure about the tour packages you're interested in to avoid confusion/miscommunication., for your own peace of mind.
We booked our whole holiday with Heritage Tours (accommodation, safaris, boat cruise) and it was just a pleasure. Everything was what we wanted, how we wanted it. The staff and drivers were splendid, we were well looked after and it was just wonderful.
Probably the worst weather we could have had. Pouring and cold in the middle of summer. Our guide Zane, was extremeley professional and prepared with blankets, ponchos and hot coffee. Despite the weather we were able to view a wide variety of wild animals including: Elephents, Rhinos, Buffelo, zebra, impala, tortoise, a variety of bird life, wildeest and baboons. Our guide had an amazing working knowledge of each of the animals we saw and interesting facts about each one of them. It was an amazing experience. Thank you Zane and Heritage tours!
The guide was very knowledgeable and even made antelope seem as interesting as some of the more popular animals, but it ended there. The Land Cruiser was probably their oldest one (didn't even have a company logo), it was dirty, rusted and the seats were the old long bench type seats. As we drove past Land Cruisers owned by other local companies we could see how neat they were with proper single seat cushioning. Along with this, the snorkels were dirty and had germ build-up in the mouthpieces which simply unacceptable, and we were just given the snorkels and told to go down to the beach (we had no idea where to go and didn't know how safe it was around the rocks because the water was rough). We also never got a "traditional South African braai" (barbeque) which my foreign father-in-law was so excited about, but rather, we got to eat cold chicken with butter knives. All the while seeing other companies braaing in the same location and also hearing from another company that they were on their way to start a braai. Other than the guide telling you about the animals, you can do the whole of the Eastern Shores in your own car (sedan/hatchback). I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. There are plenty of others to choose from, or just save your money and drive through it yourself with your own delicious foods and snacks.
Took the river guided hippo and croc tour. We were a party of 10 and had a private boat. Skipper was very knowledgeable about the wildlife. This was the fourth time we've taken people on this tour using this company. If you want to see animals this is well worth the price.
Guide seemed not experienced at all. The braai took 2 hours, time that we'd rather used for game drive.
